Chef Michael Mullins, a Kenwood native, is the creative mind behind the spirited cuisine of Perch + Plow.
“What inspires me every day?” “The weather! Living in Sonoma County offers an abundance of amazing produce that only takes a little effort to tap into. I would say that the signature dish has disappeared as we have all focused on using hyper-seasonal produce from our local growers. A signature dish implies it will always be on the menu, which is not being a responsible chef in this day and age. The menu will evolve, as do chefs, I hope that all of our dishes will have their own signature. I’m inspired to bring some warmth and nourishment to my hometown after these devastating fires.”
Chef Mullins has honed his craft at a number of Bay Area restaurants, including Michelin-starred Cavallo Point, Petitie Syrah, and the Kenwood Restaurant.
